The Breakfast Part…
Breakfast is always the best way to start the day and at Spruce Lodge, it is not unheard of for innkeeper, Carol to bake bread or muffins daily. You never know what kind of yumminess is going to be laid out each morning, but one thing is for sure…it is always good and always fresh.
A Bit o’ History…
1910 – the oldest documentation of when the Main House was built; however a recent guest claims his grandfather built the house in the late 1800’s.
1949 – Guy and Alta Wescott purchase the property and begin running it as a family run lodge after their 8 children moved out.
1986 – The property is purchased from the Wescott estate by Carol Hoffman, one of Guy and Alta’s 23 grandchildren. Carol continues to run it as a bed and breakfast.
2004 – The Wescott’s Townhouses are built.
